Qatar ADC Wrap

Great way to finish the Asia dream cup championship with taking the win in the last round of the year and securing 3rd position in the championship. I learnt alot this weekend, racing under lights for the first time, and being at Losail international circuit was such a good experience the track was immaculate. It was a awesome series and everyone on the Asia Dream Cup committee done such a good job making a fair, close hard racing championship. So a big shout out to those guys and series sponsors, Petronas, TWMR, and Honda.

So that brings 2012 season to a end I would like to say a huge thanks to Honda Australia, Arai Helmets, Alpinestars and Oakley for there continued support couldn't do it without you guys so thankyou so much

Cheers

Phillip island GP weekend

Had a amazing time down at Phillips island for the Grand Prix I arrived Wednesday and cruised around Melbourne all day before heading down to the island, my team mate Jamie Stauffer and myself went and raced some go Karts in Melbourne and had so much fun, mind you I did show him the way around the track !

Went to the track it was all set up ready for the weekend. Friday we had a practice and a qualifying, didn't really go to plan because the weather was horrible and my first proper race meeting on the 1000 it wasn't ideal way to start the weekend.

3 races on Saturday and I was feeling good by the last one, had a small problem with the set up of the bike so I was struggling there for a little bit but the positive was every race my lap time was getting faster and I was feeling better. I sat down with the mechanics at the end of Saturday to try and find a solution for the problems I was having. We all agreed on a set up to try for race 4 on Sunday. Race for started off really well got off to a good start and was running with the front guys did my fastest lap time around Phillip island at a 1:34.6 and was happy with how the bike was after the change. All in all it was a good experience on the superbike and I'm happy with how team Honda racing worked all weekend.

Thankyou to team Honda racing, Honda Australia, alpinestars, arai helmets, oakley
Awesome weekend, thanks guys

Hook Wins in Taiwan

Race 1 in the Asia Dream Cup for Round 5 of the 2012 PETRONAS Asia Road Racing Championship went contrary to Joshua Hook's predictions that there would be no pack racing this time around at the Pen Bay International Circuit. But despite the tough racing conditions, the Australian rider was able to keep it together and win his second victory of the season with a time of 23:62.602s.

With six riders in the front group, Hook stuck to his strategy of staying in touch with the lead, but keeping out of the endless lead-swapping. The young Australian waited until the final two laps before gunning his way to the front. "I felt secure with this strategy because I knew that I was strong in the back section of the track. During the last two laps, I made sure that every time Okubo overtook me, I would regain that place as soon as possible," described Hook.

Id like to say a big thanks to Honda Australia, Arai, Alpinestars and Oakley for there help and continued support through out the season.

Thankyou

Superbike Test Phillip Island

Down here at Phillip island testing team Honda racings superbike for the first time. Ill keep you posted on how I go

Asia Dream Cup Japan

We arrived at the track early Friday morning and had 2 practice sessions on Friday, it was the first time for me at this track we had 2 x 30 minute practice sessions so I was learning the track and in the first session went fastest by .668. In the 2nd session I made the 2nd fastest lap time overall so I was happy with how the day went.

Saturday qualifying and 1 race. I qualified 4th and in the first race was racing in the front group which was about 9 bikes. With about 3 laps to go I got taken out alone with another 2 guys but ended up finishing in 6th position.

Sunday we has race 2. Race two I made sure I was leading the race at all times so I could stay out of the heavy battling that was behind me, on the last lap I got slipped streamed by 2 guys to the last turn and I past both of them through the last corner and took the win I was so happy for myself and the team.

I would like to thank Bryan for working hard all weekend and giving me a bike to win on.

Also thanks to Honda Australia for making it all possible.

Thanks to Arai Helmets for there services over the weekend.

And thanks to all fans and followers.
