ASBK Round 7 QR

Australia Superbike Championship has come to an end, with the last round at Queensland raceway and heading into the last round I was 3.5 point behind the leader in the championship.

Had 2 20 minute free practice sessions on Friday, for me I used these session to adapt to the bike and conditions and find a direction to go with the bike setup. Saturday went really good for me we had 2 30 minute qualifying sessions. We made good progress in free practice Friday and had a few different things to try. I felt really good on the bike and made a good lap time with a 1:11.5 which put me in P1 overall in qualifying. We had Superpole later in the afternoon, in my Superpole lap I was up in the first sector int the second sector I made a big mistake and lost a lot of time and my lap time put me back to 3rd on the grid.

Sunday we had two races. In race one it was a good battle at the from with Brodie waters and Mitchell Carr with consistent mid 11 lap times so the race pace was fast, unfortunately I had a problem and couldn't finish the race, this was a big disappointment because it cost me the Championship. In race two there wast a lot of grip out there so it was had to lap as fast as race one. In the early stages of the race I could see that the other riders were struggling with grip so I put my head down and went for it, I was lapping in high 11's and I gapped the rider in 2nd by 3 seconds and took the win. I was happy to come back after race one and put the CBR 600 on the top step of the podium.

Overall it was a pretty successful weekend we learnt a lot and made some positive progress.

I was crowned runner up in the Australian Suppersport Championship so a huge thanks to team Honda racing for there hard work and support all year and it was good working with them. Also thanks to Honda Australia, Arai Helmets, Oakley.

Couldn't do it with out you guys thanks for all your support.

Asia Dream Cup Japan

We arrived at the track early Friday morning and had 2 practice sessions on Friday, it was the first time for me at this track we had 2 x 30 minute practice sessions so I was learning the track and in the first session went fastest by .668. In the 2nd session I made the 2nd fastest lap time overall so I was happy with how the day went.

Saturday qualifying and 1 race. I qualified 4th and in the first race was racing in the front group which was about 9 bikes. With about 3 laps to go I got taken out alone with another 2 guys but ended up finishing in 6th position.

Sunday we has race 2. Race two I made sure I was leading the race at all times so I could stay out of the heavy battling that was behind me, on the last lap I got slipped streamed by 2 guys to the last turn and I past both of them through the last corner and took the win I was so happy for myself and the team.

I would like to thank Bryan for working hard all weekend and giving me a bike to win on.

Also thanks to Honda Australia for making it all possible.

Thanks to Arai Helmets for there services over the weekend.

And thanks to all fans and followers.

Departing for Asia Dream Cup

So I have arrived at Sydney International Airport, I'm heading over to Japan to race at the autopolis circuit in the Asian dream cup for the 4th round.

A massive thankyou to Honda Australia for there support and making this possible.

I'll be keeping you up to date with the latest results after each day.

Saturday PI Qualifying

Today went a lot better for us we had 2 30minute qualifying sessions. Q1 was really windy, cold track temp but it was dry, I went out and did about 4 laps and came in the change bike set up, I went back out with 8 minutes left in the sessions and was in 3rd. The change we made to the bike was a big improvement and I felt really comfortable on the Honda CBR600rr. I went fastest with a lap time of 1:38.2

Q2 was wet so I went out and got a wet setting and once I felt comfortable on the bike in the wet I came in.

So we are starting the race tomorrow in P1, huge thanks to the team for working hard all weekend.

Friday Free Practice PI

Today was our fist day on track here at round 6 of the ASBK. The weather wast that great, always so unpredictable here at Phillip Island. I had 2 practice sessions today and both were dry with was good but the track was very cold so there wasn't much grip.

We are struggling to get a good set up with the bike at this stage but made some notes from the session and making some changes to the bike tonight which should be a step in the right direction for tomorrows qualifying.

All in all it was a good day, big thanks to team for there hard work
