Australia Superbike Championship has come to an end, with the last round at Queensland raceway and heading into the last round I was 3.5 point behind the leader in the championship.

Had 2 20 minute free practice sessions on Friday, for me I used these session to adapt to the bike and conditions and find a direction to go with the bike setup. Saturday went really good for me we had 2 30 minute qualifying sessions. We made good progress in free practice Friday and had a few different things to try. I felt really good on the bike and made a good lap time with a 1:11.5 which put me in P1 overall in qualifying. We had Superpole later in the afternoon, in my Superpole lap I was up in the first sector int the second sector I made a big mistake and lost a lot of time and my lap time put me back to 3rd on the grid.

Sunday we had two races. In race one it was a good battle at the from with Brodie waters and Mitchell Carr with consistent mid 11 lap times so the race pace was fast, unfortunately I had a problem and couldn’t finish the race, this was a big disappointment because it cost me the Championship. In race two there wast a lot of grip out there so it was had to lap as fast as race one. In the early stages of the race I could see that the other riders were struggling with grip so I put my head down and went for it, I was lapping in high 11’s and I gapped the rider in 2nd by 3 seconds and took the win. I was happy to come back after race one and put the CBR 600 on the top step of the podium.

Overall it was a pretty successful weekend we learnt a lot and made some positive progress.

I was crowned runner up in the Australian Suppersport Championship so a huge thanks to team Honda racing for there hard work and support all year and it was good working with them. Also thanks to Honda Australia, Arai Helmets, Oakley.
